In this role, you support Finance Business Partnering within Hallmark by helping translate business strategy into financial plans for your assigned areas and working closely with managers to support decision-making. You assist in providing analyses, preparing business cases, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes. Through your work, you contribute to delivering accurate insights and supporting business performance.

What will you do as a Business Controller?

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Supporting stakeholders in thorough analysis and reporting of business results;
  • Making recommendations to improve business results in the future;
  • First point of contact for your business area;
  • Supporting the planning & control cycle for your business area, including month-end closing, forecast and budget;
  • Supporting and advisory role in internal and external audits;
  • Participation in various project groups as a Business Partner;
  • Cooperation with the Accounting team in the UK.

Within Hallmark, you will be part of the Finance department based in both the Netherlands and the UK, where you will strengthen a team of passionate professionals. Together with your team, you are on a mission to be a valuable and reliable financial partner within Hallmark.

Proactive, hands-on, solution- and result-oriented, analytically strong, and a team player: these are keywords that describe you. To succeed in this role, you have the following must-haves:

  • A completed HBO/bachelor's degree, preferably in (business) economics or accountancy;
  • About 2 years of work experience in a financial role and ready for the next step in your career;
  • Tech and data savvy, preferably with experience with PowerBI;
  • Experience in Retail, FMCG or Ecommerce is desirable;
  • Ability to deal with an organization that is on the move;
  • A firm and convincing personality;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel;
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
  • Availability on a full-time basis.
