Summary

As an Assistant Finance & Control, you are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, delivering timely reports, and providing reliable analyses for our locations in Son and Echt. You work closely with your colleagues within Finance, both locally and with the holding and other entities, as well as with various other departments such as Procurement, Sales, and Operations. The local Finance team consists, in addition to your role, of an Assistant Business Controller and another Assistant Finance & Control. You report directly to the Finance Manager.

This is what you bring to the team

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or Accounting
  • At least 2 years of experience in a financial role
  • Experience with financial/ERP systems and reporting tools
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good command of Dutch and English
  • A proactive, analytical, and accurate working style, combined with strong communication skills
  • Integrity and a professional attitude

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries, including provisions and balance sheet accounts.
  • Performing cost control (OPEX) and aligning with budget-responsible stakeholders.
  • Managing bank activities (payments, postings) and cash flow planning.
  • Preparing balance sheet and profit & loss overviews for external audits and internal controls.
  • Handling intercompany invoicing and reconciliation with other Neways entities.
  • Acting as a backup for and supporting the Accounts Payable process.
  • Supporting accounts receivable management, including credit limits and contact with the credit insurer.
  • Identifying deviations and actively contributing to process improvements within Finance and related processes.
  • Collaborating effectively with other departments within Neways.
