About Demcon

SeQso develops and manufactures sorting and sowing machines for seed breeders in Europe, Asia and the Americas. As part of Demcon, SeQso has all the expertise needed to make its machines more precise, faster and smarter. In addition, the companies will jointly develop new solutions for further automation in seed breeding. In this way, they aim to contribute to food security, which is under pressure worldwide due to population growth and climate change.

What are you going to do?

As a mechanical engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary project team. You will be responsible for ensuring the success of the mechanical aspects of our mechatronic concepts and systems. You will contribute your ideas from the concept phase onwards and remain involved right through to the development of a complete construction dossier, on the basis of which the design can be manufactured. During the implementation phase, you will be involved in the outsourcing of mechanical components and in supervising the assembly. You will then assist with testing and commissioning the systems, both in-house and at a customer’s site.

What do you bring to the table?

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (HBO or WO level) and an interest in mechanical engineering;
• At least 3 years’ work experience in a similar role within the mechanical engineering sector;
• A passion for production and automation technology and a broad technical interest;
• Knowledge of 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and mechanical design principles;
• Design analysis methods, such as ‘Design for Assembly/Production’.
