Your new team

As Manager Group Safety, you will be part of our Group Compliance & Ethics / Asset Protection ecosystem, working closely with brand safety teams, Public Affairs, Internal Audit, and other global stakeholders. You will operate in a highly collaborative, international environment focused on protecting people, customers, and business operations.

Key focus areas of your role

Lead the global safety program

You will design and drive a best-in-industry safety framework, including policies, standards, and controls, ensuring consistent implementation across all brands.

Strengthen safety compliance and risk management

You will identify key risks and build structured mitigation programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Drive monitoring, assurance, and accountability

You will establish strong governance, reporting, and escalation mechanisms, ensuring brands effectively manage safety risks and continuously improve.

Promote a strong safety culture

You will actively embed a culture of safety and compliance through communication, collaboration, and training initiatives across the organization.

What you’ll be working on

  • Developing and maintaining Group Safety policies, standards, and frameworks
  • Leading safety compliance programs and risk assessments across brands
  • Monitoring safety performance through KPIs, audits, and reporting
  • Driving escalation and response protocols for major safety risks or incidents
  • Partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders on safety initiatives
  • Leading continuous improvement through insights, benchmarking, and best practices
  • Representing Ahold Delhaize in external safety-related organizations

The ingredients you bring

  • 10+ years of experience in safety, risk management, or related field
  • Experience within retail or a complex international organization
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
  • Relevant certification (e.g., CSP, CIH or equivalent)
  • Fluent in English
