As an Analytical Engineer within our Marketing Science and Measurement team (part of Performance Marketing), you will occupy a hybrid role that bridges robust backend engineering and data analytics. You will be primarily responsible for developing the data pipelines, transformations, and analytics infrastructure forming the backbone of our performance marketing solutions. You will also build pipelines that power AI-driven marketing.

In this dual-focus position, you are also required to apply data analytics to answer complex stakeholder questions regarding our digital channels along with the data analysts and data scientists in the team.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a dual-track role — equally comfortable architecting robust, scalable data pipelines as they are diving into complex analytical problems — while bringing a strong engineering-first mindset that sets the technical bar for everything we build.

About this role

  • Ensure absolute data quality, robust transformations, and reliable analytics infrastructure for performance marketing pipelines.
  • Partner with the Marketing Solutions team to build robust data pipelines tailored for AI-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Design and maintain scalable, end-to-end data pipelines for Machine Learning (ML) and AI features to drive system excellence.
  • Utilize data analytics to deliver clear insights that resolve complex stakeholder questions around digital marketing channels.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to understand, map, and deliver on technical data requirements.
  • Lift each other up by sharing knowledge, establishing engineering standards, and supporting non-technical users with SQL training.
  • Communicate analytical findings and complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Balanced technical capability spanning large-scale data engineering (ETL/DBT) and data analytics.
  • Deep expertise in SQL, proficiency with Python, and a solid understanding of data modeling principles.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience using ML platforms like Google Vertex AI to build, train, and deploy models in production.
  • Ability to build dashboards using tools like Tableau to unlock clear insights for digital marketing channels.
  • Experience extracting, transforming, and analyzing performance data from paid digital channels at scale.
  • Commitment to software engineering best practices, including version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
