The Channel Merchant will be a key member of the merchandising function reporting into the Senior Merchandising Manager of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), focusing on the e-commerce platform. Under Armour is seeking a Senior Channel Merchandiser to support the Merchandising team for the EMEA region. The Channel Merchant will be a key member of the merchandising function reporting into the Senior Merchandising Manager of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), focusing on our e-commerce platform. They will use a balance of art and science to structure assortments for profitable and sustainable growth for the region.
Core responsibilities include seasonal assortment building, sell-out and sell-in analysis, in-season adjustment to changes in consumer demand, competitive landscape analysis, and identifying future season opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator and strong operator with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in merchandising in e-commerce or digital accounts. The individual will likely have experience in a well-regarded consumer products company and a professional or personal involvement with both apparel and footwear.
Your Impact
- Create consumer-centric assortments for the e-commerce site.
- Lead the full Go-to-Market process for the categories they are responsible for with the support of the Senior Manager of DTC.
- Connect product, brand, and sport moments to create authentic, powerful, and consistent engagement with the target consumer throughout the season.
- Present assortment direction and how it supports EMEA’s long-term strategy.
- Work in collaboration with the POD across commercial, planning, content, and marketing to build strong relationships to support the business throughout the season.
- Own analysis of sales trends and competitive landscape to generate recommendations for strategic action to meet performance objectives and consumer expectations.
- Leverage consumer insights to drive meaningful conversations with other partners and to identify incremental opportunities.
- Think strategically and present ideas on how to continue to evolve and improve processes.

- Proven quantitative capabilities to assess data, identify trends, and define actions to drive results.
- Ability to self-start and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to establish an independent view while effectively collaborating in decision-making forums.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Fluent in English.
- University degree.
- 4+ years of global merchandising and/or product management experience, primarily gained in non-US markets, preferably within the sports apparel, footwear, or accessory industry.
