At De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, you will contribute directly to the future of legal service delivery through support in technology and AI.

About De Brauw

De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek is a leading Dutch law firm with a strong international practice. We guide clients where it matters most — whether in Amsterdam or on the other side of the world. Our lawyers, civil-law notaries and tax advisers provide the highest level of counsel on complex, often cross-border legal matters. Innovation, substance and development are central to everything we do — in our services and in our people.

As a department, Legal Operations works closely with lawyers and clients and focuses on supporting and improving legal processes by combining the expertise of our legal tech engineers, data scientists, legal project managers and legal advisers.

The role

We are looking for an eager student currently engaged in either law or technical/analytical studies. You will be supporting our Legal Operations department on a multitude of data-related administration tasks for different clients.

Tasks may include:

  • AI-assisted document review
  • Updating project management sites
  • Excel analyses
  • Automation and process improvements

Working as a data assistant offers a great opportunity for anybody with an eye for detail, who enjoys learning more about the daily business in an internationally-oriented law firm. You will be working in a team with other data assistants.

Who are you?

  • You are curious, entrepreneurial and service-oriented, with strong communication skills and a natural affinity for collaboration in a dynamic environment.
  • A background in either law or technical/analytical studies
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • You need to be available two days a week; your workdays will be scheduled in agreement with you.
  • Good Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint knowledge are a must.
  • Experience with Power Automate or an eager willingness to learn.

We are open to different backgrounds and perspectives.

Our clients, people and drive for quality are the energisers of our firm. They are the basis from which we deliver a powerful corporate practice, a centre of excellence in litigation and arbitration, and an unparalleled team of compliance experts.
