Beschrijving van deze vacature

Join the high performing, award winning Investor Relations team at Vopak—twice recognized as Best IR in the Netherlands. As part of this dynamic and ambitious team you will work at the intersection of capital markets, strategy and energy dynamics, telling Vopak’s strategic story to the investment community while directly engaging with senior leadership and the Executive Board.

You will be a key senior member of a collaborative, close-knit team—hands-on in crafting the narrative, running investor meetings and producing high-quality materials, while supporting the development of the IR team.

We are looking for someone that doesn't just want a role, but a platform to grow, challenge themselves and make an impact on how we shape our story to the world.

We are looking for a seasoned IR professional with deep capital markets expertise ideally formed through sell-side equity research, M&A advisory, or in-house IR at a listed industrial or energy company. You bring sharp financial instincts, a credible voice in front of institutional investors and analysts, and the collaborative mindset to help drive a best-in-class IR programme.

Our culture is built around three pillars: Trust, Collaboration, Courage, which unify and inspire us while leaving room for our personal values and individual qualities to flourish.

At ports around the world, we provide storage and infrastructure solutions for vital products that enrich everyday life. These products include liquids and gases that provide energy for homes and businesses, chemicals for manufacturing products, and edible oils for cooking. For all of these, our worldwide network of terminals supports the global flow of supply and demand.

What will you do as an Investor Relations Director?

Reporting to the VP Communications & Investor Relations, the Director of Investor Relations will work in close partnership with the IR Manager, contributing across the full cycle of investor engagement and financial communications. You will work hand-in-hand with the Executive Board on earnings, Capital Markets Days, roadshows and ad hoc strategic communications.

What do we offer you?

  • Hybrid working opportunity at Vopak HQ in Rotterdam
  • Attractive bonus
  • Travel allowance
  • 30 holidays on an annual basis
  • A contribution of 50% of the basic health insurance premium and discount on supplementary insurance
  • Vopak’s own pension scheme
  • Continuous investment in your development, with exposure to the very highest levels of the organization

What do we expect from you as an Investor Relations Director?

  • Master's degree in Business Economics, Finance or relevant field
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in sell-side equity research, M&A advisory (investment banking), or in-house investor relations at a listed company.
  • Proven track record covering or advising on infrastructure, energy, chemicals, industrials or an adjacent sector—deep familiarity with energy transition themes is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience significantly contributing to an IR programme at a large-cap or mid-cap listed company.
  • Excellent relationship and presentation skills and comfortable interacting with executive leaders
  • Highly commercially minded, with an ability to anticipate investor concerns and pre-empt questions before they are asked.
  • Strong project management skills: able to run multiple workstreams simultaneously under time pressure.
  • Collaborative team player, generous in sharing expertise, committed to quality, and supportive of colleagues.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at simplifying complexity for diverse audiences
  • Native or almost native-level proficiency in English

Your core responsibilities are:

  • Build and nurture relationships with institutional shareholders, prospective investors, sell-side analysts and ESG rating agencies globally.
  • Represent Vopak at roadshows, investor conferences, Capital Markets Days etc.
  • Contribute to and coordinate the quarterly reporting cycle: annual report, earnings releases (HY and FY), interim updates, analyst presentations and Q&A preparation.
  • Translate complex financial and strategic information into clear, compelling messaging for the investment community.
  • Monitor and analyze sell-side research, peer positioning, shareholder movements and market sentiment; produce actionable intelligence for senior management.
  • Work collaboratively with the IR Manager, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of the wider team.
  • Maintain and evolve the IR section of Vopak's website and shareholder communications platforms.
  • Maintain and continuously develop the institutional ownership database and targeting intelligence.
  • Support the AGM preparation and shareholder engagement with proxy.
