QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, Develop, and Maintain Automated Test Suites: Build and execute automated test scripts to cover end-to-end testing for web applications, mobile apps (iOS/Android), and APIs.
  • Cross-Platform Testing: Develop automated tests across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency in test quality and reporting for web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Test Automation Frameworks: Contribute to the development and improvement of test automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Espresso, XCUITest or similar, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with the Platform team to ensure automated tests are smoothly integrated into CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback on product quality.
  • End-to-End Testing: Execute functional, regression, performance, and load testing for complex workflows across platforms, ensuring product reliability and quality.
  • Defect Tracking and Reporting: Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution, providing clear feedback to developers and ensuring timely fixes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven Experience in Test Automation: Experience in automated testing across web, mobile (iOS/Android), and APIs, with hands-on experience using automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, etc.
  • Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages used for test automation (e.g. Kotlin, TypeScript, Ruby, or similar).
  • API Testing: Experience in automating RESTful API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github Actions, CircleCI, etc.
  • Test Framework Development: Experience in building or extending test automation frameworks, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable.
  • Cross-Browser and Cross-Device Testing: Familiarity with ensuring test execution across multiple browsers (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox) and mobile devices (both iOS and Android). Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., BrowserStack).
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple platforms and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them effectively.
  • Understanding of QA Principles: Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and load testing.
