What are you going to do?

You roll up your sleeves alongside a bilingual team of around 17 colleagues, including information security officers, a security architect, a risk manager, and business continuity advisors. We are a diverse team with a wide range of expertise and experience levels, coming together every Thursday to strengthen our team spirit.

As part of the ISOs & Specialists team, you spend at least one day per week at the office (Thursday) to collaborate, and you ensure you stay well connected with your teammates and stakeholders. We work in an informal environment with plenty of freedom. You’re comfortable working independently and finding out what needs to be done.

How You Approach Your Work

You take responsibility for cultivating a “can-do” attitude and maintaining positive energy within the team, enabling the DRC to operate as a “Department of Yes.” You achieve this by embracing and embedding a customer-focused mindset and way of working, with continuous attention to quality. You embrace change and dare to dream big (“How can we make it happen?”).

You arrive at responsible conclusions and decisions by evaluating arguments from multiple viewpoints. With your persuasive skills, you support the value chain in aligning differing viewpoints. You promote expanding and leveraging relationships and networks to achieve information security objectives.

You will:

  • Advise on and implement information security policies within the IT domain.
  • Conduct risk analyses and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are in place.
  • Train colleagues and increase security awareness.
  • Monitor and report on the status of information security.
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to apply the latest trends.

Additionally, you bring:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s level of working and thinking.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity/information security, including first-line security experience.
  • Experience with information security management systems (ISMS) and risk management.
  • Familiarity with common security standards (preferably ISO 27001).
  • Strong command of both Dutch and English.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent are a plus.
