Senior Front-End Developer

HAL24K offers operational and predictive intelligence solutions through a combination of advanced data science techniques and its SaaS-based HAL24K Dimension platform.

Dimension brings all the components of data science into one platform to enable customers to explore and analyze data, train models, create forecasters, develop APIs and visualize output from within a single platform.

Job Description

We require a Senior Front-end Developer who will be responsible for developing and improving the front-end components of our Dimension platform. Your primary responsibilities will be to bridge the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, and define the look and feel of our applications. You will have to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure; therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential. You will form part of our international team based in our Amsterdam offices and must be eligible to work within The Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new user-facing features

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• Lead the UX/UI design

Skills

You will require excellent written and verbal English as this is an international working environment.

Must haves

• At least 5 years experience in working with JavaScript and Typescript and have a full understanding of its quirks and workarounds

• Extensive experience with the React framework

• Good understanding of state management tools such as Redux

• Strong understanding in UX/UI design

• Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3

• Experience with building scalable front-ends

• Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress

• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds

• Confident to work on an agile environment

Other useful skills include

• Good working knowledge of MUI component library

• Familiarity with front-end build tools

• Good understanding of Domain Driven Design principles

• Good understanding of micro-frontend architecture concepts

• Simulation and 3D rendering of complex data

• Experience with continuous integration and frontend deployments

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Fluent in English (verbal and written) as this is an international working environment

• It is a bonus if you are also fluent in Dutch
