About the Department

The Marketing Department within BYD Benelux is responsible for creating and executing tailored marketing strategies for the Netherlands. Our mission is to increase brand visibility, enhance customer engagement, and support strong retail and fleet performance in the Benelux region.

Within this team, the CMS function plays a central role in strengthening our online presence, optimizing customer journeys, and driving digital growth across all markets in Benelux.

About the Role

BYD Benelux is looking for a CMS Specialist (Website) for BYD Benelux NSC to manage and improve digital touchpoints related to the Benelux website and email communication channels. In this role, you will ensure website accuracy, enhance user experience, drive conversions, and support Benelux marketing campaigns through effective email communication.

This position requires a strong blend of technical skills, marketing insight, and cross-functional coordination with internal stakeholders, dealer partners, and development teams in China.

Key Responsibilities

CRM (Marketing Operations)

Focus: Turning data into sales opportunities and customer retention.

  • Lead management: tracking and nurturing leads from initial inquiry (showroom/web) to final purchase.
  • Audience segmentation: creating high-value target lists based on behavior, intent, and vehicle ownership status.
  • Customer journey mapping: designing automated touchpoints for different stages (e.g., lead test drive follow-up).
  • Retention and loyalty: running campaigns for vehicle maintenance reminders, lease renewals, and Member Get Member (MGM) referrals.
  • Conversion analytics: tracking the ROI of marketing activities and reporting on lead-to-sale conversion rates.

Website Management

  • Manage and update all BYD Benelux website content to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong commercial messaging.
  • Collaborate with Benelux stakeholders to transform business needs into actionable website improvements.
  • Own the backlog of website updates and coordinate with the development team for smooth execution.
  • Improve user journeys to increase engagement, test-drive requests, and lead conversions.
  • Implement and optimize SEO best practices (technical and on-page) to boost organic visibility across Benelux markets.
  • Ensure website compliance with GDPR, cookie laws, and regional digital regulations.

Analytics and Optimization

  • Monitor website performance and customer behavior using Adobe Analytics, GTM, and other reporting tools.
  • Generate regular insights and performance reports tailored to Benelux marketing objectives.
  • Conduct A/B tests and CRO initiatives to continuously improve digital conversion rates.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance digital engagement and lead-generation efficiency.

Email Marketing (EDM)

Focus: Executing high-conversion, direct-to-consumer communication.

  • Campaign strategy: designing content for product launches, seasonal service offers, and brand newsletters.
  • Personalization: using CRM data to insert dynamic content such as the customer's name, their specific car model, or nearest dealer.
  • Marketing automation: setting up triggered emails based on CRM actions, such as an automated thank you and brochure sent immediately after a test drive.
  • A/B testing: optimizing subject lines and layouts to maximize open rates and click-through rates (CTR).
  • Lead quality: filtering and warming up leads via email engagement before passing them to the sales team or dealers.

Key Results (KPIs)

  • Improved website metrics (traffic, bounce rate, average session duration).
  • Increased test-drive bookings, lead submissions, and newsletter subscriptions.
  • Strong SEO growth across Benelux search engines.
  • Scalable and efficient email marketing structure for Benelux.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Technical and Web Operations

  • 2–3 years of experience with Content Management System (CMS), Shopify, DAM tools, and Marketo or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and general web troubleshooting.
  • Solid experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and SEO tools.
  • Understanding of GDPR, cookie management, and website privacy requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate with international development teams, particularly in China, to ensure proper system integration.

Digital Marketing Expertise as a Plus

  • Demonstrated skills in CRO, A/B testing, UX improvement, and funnel analysis.
  • Strong understanding of SEO (on-page, technical, architecture).
  • Ability to produce clear, compelling Dutch digital content for web and email.

Other expertise

  • Native Dutch speaker with excellent English communication.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.

Besides that, BYD has two factories in Europe, one located in Komarom, Hungary, and the other located in Beauvais, France. Electric buses manufactured by those two factories will be exported to customers across continental Europe. It is also in partnership with Alexander Dennis in the UK which assembles jointly developed buses for the UK market.

Up to now, the footprint of BYD electric vehicles covers over 70 major European cities, which will undoubtedly grow in the future.
