About this role

You will join the Marketing Science & Measurement team, part of Performance Marketing, focusing on optimizing investment across digital channels like Google Ads, Meta, and TikTok. You will lead the technical execution of data science projects that analysts identify but require deeper expertise to build.

Your primary goal is to deliver high-quality models that solve specific marketing challenges, such as forecasting and real-time bidding. By providing this technical layer, you help the team answer complex questions with modern and advanced data science applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain models to improve the accuracy of attribution and conversion modeling.
  • Develop and deploy bidding algorithms to optimize performance across digital marketing channels.
  • Execute semantic analysis on large-scale marketing data to identify trends in ad copy, customer behavior or supply portfolio.
  • Partner with analysts to translate business problems into statistical models or machine learning applications.
  • Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate model performance, campaign insights, and key business metrics to stakeholders across the department.
  • Build compelling presentations that translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with the wider data community to ensure models align with global data infrastructure standards.
  • Help one another succeed by reviewing analysts' code and mentoring them on advanced data science techniques.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Advanced proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries like Pandas, Scikit-learn, and NumPy.
  • Strong foundations in statistics, specifically for hypothesis testing and validating model performance.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience working with marketing data, ideally with performance marketing channel data such as Meta and/or Google.
  • Experience putting ML models into production environments, ideally using Google Cloud Platform or Vertex AI.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract and transform data within BigQuery or similar data warehouses.
  • Experience building dashboards with Tableau / PowerBI.
  • Commitment to achieving goals by taking ownership of the end-to-end model development lifecycle.
  • Drive for excellence by staying updated on the latest research in bidding algorithms and ML.
  • Understanding of digital marketing metrics and how bidding mechanics work in real-time auctions.
