Internship opportunity in the Service Operations Team

This internship offers the opportunity to join the Service Operations Team and use AI to improve the classification and analysis of service calls, helping identify opportunities to reduce call rate and service cost (labor & spare parts).

Your role:

  • With the help of AI, language models, and machine learning, you will be responsible for building a solution for classifying service calls into main categories (Level 1) and sub-categories (Level 2 and 3). The AI solution will analyze free text data entered by the service engineer describing the problem and the resolution. There will be own L2 classification of the problem and separate L3 classification of the resolution.
  • You should have an analytical mindset so that you can improve the call classification model in order to help achieve the ultimate goals of identifying best practices to reduce labor hours and service cost, improving software and hardware reliability, improving proactive alerts, and improving service and troubleshooting instructions.

You're the right fit if:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related field.
  • You have a good understanding of AI, language models, and machine learning.
  • Experience or coursework in Python, R, or Java; familiarity with AI/ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You can proactively collaborate with different stakeholders and demonstrate great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
