Your traineeship at Cleopatra Enterprise

As a trainee at Cleopatra Enterprise, you will help companies across the globe improve their project performance. Cleopatra Enterprise is the market leader in total cost management technology. Experience in cost engineering is not a prerequisite. Through training, close guidance, and on-the-job learning, you will use your technical background to grow into a cost consultancy professional.

Why this traineeship

You may have built up strong technical knowledge during your studies and want to develop more broadly, or already have technical work experience and be looking for a new challenge. In this traineeship, you will work at the interface of finance and technology. Based on your affinity with engineering and your technical background, you will help customers in the chemical, offshore, mining, renewable energy, and other industries make cost estimates for business cases. By helping clients keep their projects on schedule and budget, you will also strengthen your project management skills.

Your development comes first

Professional and personal development are central throughout the traineeship. The focus is not only on expertise, but also on soft skills. Together with your mentor, you will determine which skills you want to develop. There is also the option to work with a coach to help identify the area in which you want to grow. Once that is clear, you and your mentor will chart a course towards achieving your goals. Cleopatra Enterprise offers the environment and resources to support that growth.

Your traineeship in 5 steps

1. It starts with an intensive training programme of roughly four weeks at the Cost Engineering Academy. During this programme, you will learn what you need to know about cost engineering, the services, and the cost control software tool called Cleopatra Enterprise.
2. After building the basic theoretical knowledge, the next step is to choose the right competence centre. Each centre has its own onboarding programme.
3. Once a centre has been selected together, a senior colleague will guide you through the onboarding programme. By joining various projects and continuing to ask questions, you will quickly learn the field.
4. Once you have achieved the goals you set, the traineeship ends, but your development continues. Together, you will review options for further development. If you want broader knowledge and experience, you can switch to another competence centre and focus on the parts you want to learn more about.
5. If you have found your niche, you will move into a new phase. You will continue to be encouraged to grow professionally and personally, for example through a personal development plan within the performance management framework and further training in areas such as project management.

To support continued development and growth, trainees receive a standard package with strong employment terms and conditions.

• A starting gross monthly salary of €2,800 with a bachelor’s degree and €3,000 with a master’s degree or a science degree.

This traineeship is for you if you...

• have a bachelor’s or master’s degree from university or are about to graduate, preferably in a technology-related or engineering-related field.
• have affinity with technology and project management.
• speak and write good English.
• are curious and enterprising.
• are allowed to work in the Netherlands at least in your first year, with support available for applying for a subsequent visa if necessary.
