In deze functie speel je een essentiële rol als Product Owner binnen de CFO Data Foundation Tribe van Rabobank en draag je bij aan de strategische finance- en riskdata- en regulatory compliance-agenda van de bank.

Over Tribe Data Foundation

The mission of Tribe Data Foundation (TDF) is to deliver trusted data for consumers of risk and finance products and services, enabling client journeys and regulatory adherence (internal and external reporting). TDF processes and provides trusted data products on a daily basis, leveraging the power of, among other things, its single platform GFRD (Group Finance and Risk Datawarehouse), applying strong industry controls and technology delivered by engaged people with future-proof skills.

TDF aims to reduce business and technology complexity in close collaboration across the value chain while investing in the knowledge and skills of its teams. Tribe Data Foundation is organised into a number of Areas and a Tribe Support function. Like all tribes in Rabobank, it combines different chapters: CFO CPO Product Management, CFO Data, CITO Tech and CITO Architecture. This chapter structure brings together the functions and capabilities required to run and improve the processes and technology under the tribe’s responsibility.

Over de functie

As a Product Owner, you will work together with other Product Owners, Solution Architects, Scrum Masters, IT Lead, OPS/DEV engineers and business analysts in a diverse and engaging working environment. While service consumers are central, the team also actively collaborates through a culture that embraces openness and growth.

You will lead 2 squads to successfully deliver on their purpose, empowering them by providing clear direction, setting clear priorities and removing impediments:

DQMS (Data Quality Monitoring Solution) squad

  • is responsible for developing rules that provide data stewards with insight into the extent to which established data quality requirements are being met.

DQRS (Data Quality Reporting Solution) squad

  • drives the visualization of data quality check results and proactively maintains and enhances various dashboards, including the GDQD (Global Data Quality Dashboard).

Both squads consist of approximately 9 FTE (OPS/DEV and BA). You are responsible for managing and aligning a diverse, bank-wide group of stakeholders across both squads, providing clear and consistent communication to effectively manage expectations and dependencies.

Top of mind responsibilities

  • Together with the Area Lead, set and execute the product vision and strategy for the area and ensure that your contribution enables other areas in the tribe to execute their product vision and strategy.
  • Follow the tribe’s way of working and synchronise with the tribe’s vision.
  • Translate the vision into operational planning with a 1 to 1.5 year horizon.
  • Own and maintain the squad backlog and determine priority setting across the product management/business, technology, architecture and data chapters.
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules and data selections to ensure transparency and compliance with data quality requirements.
  • Provide insight into data quality outcomes by actively driving the visualization of results for data stewards and stakeholders.
  • Own and continuously improve data quality dashboards, including the GDQD (Global Data Quality Dashboard).
  • Lead and coordinate the cloud migration for both squads, ensuring continuity, quality and alignment throughout the transition.
  • Keep all systems safe and secure by implementing all IT in control items.
  • Drive, together with the Scrum Master(s), the adoption of the Simplify@Scale way of working in your squads.

Samen bereiken we meer dan alleen

We are very curious about what you can bring to our team at the Chief Product Owner (CPO) organisation in the CFO organisation of Rabobank.

Bringing the knowledge and experience of the product management, technology, architecture and data chapters together is a key pillar under the Simplify@Scale way of working. This allows the organisation to respond effectively to an ever faster changing environment and to balance priorities across the business and technology spectrum as best as possible.

You and your talent

  • HBO / WO thinking and/or education level.
  • Experience in complex environments in different positions and leading multiple technical platform teams (from NL and outsource).
  • A proven track record and 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager in complex agile / Scrum environments.
  • Sound knowledge of and experience with data warehouses and/or data lakes, life cycle management, release management, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, monitoring and operational run activities.
  • Knowledge of the finance and risk domain, preferably with data management experience in those domains.
  • Proven track record with execution power and stakeholder management; able to act in politically sensitive environments with different stakeholders at different levels.
  • Knowledge of regulations and their impact on processes and systems, preferably in the finance and risk domain.
  • Excellent communication skills — oral, written and presentation — to explain complex or technical issues to a broad audience.
  • Experience with Simplify@Scale or another scaled agile framework.
  • Track record of strategic thinking, acting and implementation.

Note: You must be located in the Netherlands; relocation is not possible for this role.
