At Rabobank you work on your personal development and contribute to the world around you. You get to focus on your own growth in an environment in which you continue to learn.

Do you want to learn more about the design, implementation, and automation of a data-driven quality KPI framework in a complex, regulated enterprise environment? Then this internship is a good match for you. Join the Life Events Journey department and learn more about important life events of Rabobank customers.

You & your future

Within the bank, reliability, security, and especially continuity of systems are essential. The area operates with critical chains that process all kinds of events that happen in a customer life (newborns, onboarding, becoming 18, movements, etc). The quality of IT systems has a direct impact on stability and customer trust.

Although various quality measurements exist, a unified framework to centrally monitor quality KPIs is missing. This makes it difficult to systematically track trends and proactively identify quality risks. Both the business and the squads require uniform, continuously available quality insights and automated reporting.

Examples of projects/tasks

  • Identify relevant and measurable quality KPIs within the area.
  • Identify data sources and determine how they can be structurally integrated.
  • Design a data model aligned with the desired KPI structure.
  • Set up a monitoring framework for continuous quality measurement.
  • Build a dashboard showing trends, risks, and anomalies.
  • Implement automated reporting (e.g., weekly or monthly updates).
  • Validate the first version (MVP) with stakeholders and process feedback.
  • Document the design, implementation, and handover.

Learning from each other

Development is our number one priority. Because you learn by doing, making mistakes, and succeeding. At Rabobank, we offer you the right balance between freedom and guidance. Develop talents you didn't know you had. Specialize in a field or explore what you are good at and what you enjoy. During your internship, you can count on good guidance. You will work with experienced colleagues and have a lot of contact with young professionals.

You & your talent

  • You have a strong analytical mindset, affinity with data and dashboards (Power BI/Excel), and basic knowledge of IT quality and DevOps.
  • Ability to understand and balance the needs of different stakeholders.
  • Ability to work carefully and critically with data, ensuring correct, consistent, and reliable quality metrics in a regulated banking environment.
  • High learning agility.
  • Strong communication skills.

In addition, you can also expect:

  • An internship allowance of EUR 600 gross per month based on a 36-hour week.
  • Personal guidance.
  • A professional working and learning environment.
  • An internship community and inspiring events.
