As a Business Controller, you are a member of the Finance team based in Papendrecht where you'll dive into the heart of our financial operations, taking charge of mostly Airbus programs and ensuring their financial health. You will support the monthly reporting activities for consolidation and contribute to the planning cycle (forecast, budget, strategic plan). As a member of the Business Control Team, you will stand between finance and Airbus program teams. Additionally, you'll play a key role in enhancing business processes and advancing the standards of our finance operations.

What You'll Do

  • Hold responsibility for the accounting of the programs, including analysis and balance sheets
  • Prepare budget, forecast and strategic plan for the programs
  • Assist in achieving programs' financial goals by providing analyses and recommendations
  • Contribute to annual planning processes by providing insight into sales, profit, and cash flow forecasts
  • Analyze actuals compared to budget, forecast, and previous year's figures, acting as a point of contact for Central Finance
  • Prepare various reports to present the analysis of financial results to stakeholders
  • Provide ad hoc reports, including margin analysis and monthly closure activities
  • Support program management in preparing and updating business cases and challenge the business with financial insights

What You'll Bring

  • A completed HBO/University degree in Finance or similar
  • 5+ years of similar experience as Business or Program Controller, ideally gained in the manufacturing sector
  • Ability to easily collaborate with other functions within the programs for gathering, challenging and summarizing key drivers of results and cash flow
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, especially in management reporting
  • Proactive, ability to work independently, eager to learn
  • Structured, able to plan own work and set priorities
  • Ability to communicate with other non-finance professionals (e.g. program team, procurement, manufacturing)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • PowerBI or other data management software would be considered a plus
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English
