At Nedap Security, we develop intelligent and secure solutions for access control and security. Our systems are used worldwide to enable people, vehicles and organisations to move safely and efficiently, both inside and around buildings and in critical environments.
As a Firmware Engineer, you will work at the heart of our products: the embedded software that brings our hardware to life. You will translate functional requirements into robust technical designs and develop smart firmware that is reliable, secure and future-proof.
You will work on both new product developments and the improvement and expansion of existing solutions, such as RFID readers, controllers and connected devices. In doing so, you will engage with topics such as real-time behaviour, connectivity and embedded security.
In addition to microcontroller-based firmware, you will also work with embedded Linux platforms to deliver scalable and connected solutions. As our products are used worldwide, remote management, maintainability and security are key aspects of your role.

As a Firmware Engineer, you will be part of the R&D Devices team at Nedap Security. This multidisciplinary team comprises firmware, hardware and mechanical engineers who work closely together. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues whilst taking on independent responsibility for projects.
In addition to your salary, you are entitled to a thirteenth month, a good pension scheme, and profit sharing with the opportunity to become a shareholder of Nedap.
At Nedap, everything revolves around trust and autonomy. That’s why, along with your colleagues, you decide on your own working hours and vacation days to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
We also highly value personal and professional growth. You will receive a comprehensive introduction, and we encourage you to continuously develop yourself.
You are enthusiastic, energetic and curious. Technology energises you, and you enjoy building, experimenting and understanding how things really work. Ideally, you’d like to turn your hobby into your job. You take the initiative, contribute ideas and ask questions. You don’t need to know everything yet, but you do have the drive to learn quickly and develop into a strong firmware engineer.
