Internship - Global Government & Public Affairs

You will work alongside the Global Governmental and Public Affairs team, as well as with local operating companies and colleagues from across the business. Tasks include monitoring political developments, monitoring tax and/or regulatory developments that might impact the industry, conducting desktop research, stakeholder management, feeding global strategy, and promoting Dutch Connectivity, HEINEKEN’s worldwide connection with the Dutch government as a proud Dutch brewer. Other tasks include helping deliver important short- and long-term projects for the Brew a Better World strategy, with a focus on internal communication, as well as covering various aspects of public policy, public affairs and governmental relations.

This is a great opportunity to learn first-hand about the relationship between public affairs and business, and to work as part of a multinational team that focuses on global, regional and local issues affecting operations in 70 countries and sales in many more.

During your internship you will have the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department. You will be given trust and freedom so you can work like a real entrepreneur. New and fresh ideas are embraced with enthusiasm, with guidance tailored to you.

Your new team and workplace

The Global Governmental and Public Affairs team at HEINEKEN sits within the Global Corporate Affairs function, which also includes Global Communications and Sustainable Development. The team manages the company’s relationship with a broad range of stakeholders, including government and international industry bodies, as well as the company’s response to public policies on alcohol, international trade and business regulation.
