NIBC is looking for a junior Financial Controller to join the Financial Control team.

Job Description

As a Financial Controller you will be part of the Financial Control team, where all control and financial reporting activities for the consolidated and statutory accounts take place. You will focus on maintaining, closing and reporting upon the entities of NIBC. This involves multiple disciplines such as Dutch GAAP reporting and group reporting (IFRS).

You will be involved in the monthly Financial closing process and perform controls and analysis. You enjoy working in a changing landscape and proactively contribute to improving processes and controls, including maintaining the Internal Control Framework (ICF) and operational risk related tasks.

Your team

You will be part of the Financial Control team of NIBC’s Accounting, Reporting & Tax department. Within NIBC the Financial Control team is responsible for the elimination and consolidation process, as well as performing and coordinating the monthly closing procedures and preparing the IFRS-based financial statements and disclosures for NIBC. The team is also responsible for the control framework within Finance.

It ensures NIBC is compliant with applicable laws and regulations regarding financial and regulatory reporting. What do you bring?

  • You have completed a relevant degree (a Bachelor or Master's degree in Accountancy or Business Economics);
  • You have approximately 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience;
  • Knowledge of and experience with setting up financial statements;
  • Fluent language skills in English and Dutch.
