The Role

As our Senior Product Designer, you will be the guardian of the Peaks user experience. While you'll collaborate with our Marketing Designer on brand consistency, your focus will be 80% on Product Design, ensuring our core app experience is world-class.

You’ll design journeys that give users confidence in their financial future while ensuring our product remains high-quality and recognizable. You move comfortably between UX research, product design, and brand expression, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to bring clarity and delight to the Peaks experience. This is a role for someone who wants to lead by example—shaping the product roadmap, mentoring an independent junior designer, and championing a tech-forward, AI-integrated workflow.

Your responsibilities

• End-to-End Product Design: Drive the UX and UI for our mobile apps, website, and web portal.
• Mentorship: Guide and inspire a junior designer, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with Product and Engineering to turn complex financial requirements into "dead simple" user journeys.
• System Thinking: Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure scalability and consistency.
• User Advocacy: Use data and research to be the uncompromising voice of the user in every feature discussion.
• Brand Synergy: Support marketing with brand-aligned creatives that resonate with our audience.

What you bring

• Senior-Level Craft: You have extensive experience in UX/UI design, specifically with mobile-first consumer products. You have a strong portfolio that proves your ability to build intuitive flows, polished interfaces, and high-quality visual craft.
• The "Bridge" Skill: You move comfortably between the worlds of product, brand, and marketing. You know how to ensure a product journey feels like a seamless extension of the brand.
• A "Tech-First" Mindset: You are curious about AI-assisted design workflows and stay ahead of how technology can amplify your impact and speed.
• High Autonomy: You don’t need a roadmap handed to you; you help draw it. You’re comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and mentoring others along the way.
• Platform & Tool Mastery: You are a Figma expert (components and auto-layout are second nature) with a deep understanding of iOS and Android design patterns.
• Precision: You have a sharp eye for detail and an uncompromising standard for quality—you notice the small things that others might miss.
• Communication: You are fluent in English (Dutch is a plus) and can clearly articulate the "why" behind your design decisions to stakeholders and engineers alike.

Bonus points if you have

• A background in Fintech.
• Experience with Motion Design (Lottie, After Effects, Jitter).
• UX Copywriting skills—you know the right words are as important as the right pixels.
