(Senior) Consultant – IT & Technology M&A

You need the following qualifications for the position of (Senior) Consultant – M&A Technology Due Diligence:

• A relevant Master’s degree (MSc, ir.) and a clear affinity with technology.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of working experience for consultant level and 3–5 years for senior consultant level, for example in Big 4, technology strategy consulting, or technology-related corporate M&A.
• A background in technology M&A, including due diligence, integrations and separations, or eagerness to adapt your expertise in technology strategy to an M&A context.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

As part of the current M&A Transactions Services team, where both corporate and private equity clients are supported in substantiated investment decisions, the Value Creation Services team helps these clients deliver tangible benefits across the entire value chain. In recent years, the team has been successfully involved in large Dutch and international transactions.

Within Value Creation Services, the proposition for M&A Technology Due Diligence has been growing over the last years and this growth is expected to accelerate. The team delivers high-quality work to help clients with technology-related decisions in their M&A processes. Altogether, the team supports clients in understanding relevant trends in technology, complexity, value and potential risks. Since technology is increasingly embedded in all stages of the M&A lifecycle, the team is looking for you to help continue expanding the M&A Technology Due Diligence team.

How do you do this?

Your responsibilities

• Conducting M&A technology due diligence engagements across all industries, including IT, cyber security, product and platform topics.
• Reviewing and defining current and end-state technology strategies, business models and technology stacks, and aligning them with clients’ investment cases.
• Providing insights on capabilities, risks and associated costs for the desired state.
• Analyzing technology developments, strategies and investment plans.
• Preparing clients for carve-outs and integrations from a technology perspective.
• Helping further shape and develop the successful and growing M&A Technology Due Diligence proposition together with an enthusiastic team.

Further, you will have the opportunity to work together with all Deloitte service lines, including Consulting, Risk Advisory, Tax and Legal, and experience a multidisciplinary way of working.
