Join the Group Consolidation & Reporting (GC&R) team at Philips as a Finance & Accounting intern, starting as of July 2026 for at least 6 months. This internship offers the opportunity to support Royal Philips’ consolidation and financial reporting activities.

Job Description

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of the quarterly press release and annual report process, including liaising with other teams within Royal Philips such as Group Sustainability, Philips Design, and Group Tax.
  • Assist in XBRL filings for the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
  • Retrieve and process data from the financial system to the reporting tool.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports or findings for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Analyze data related to departmental projects, identifying significant trends, patterns, and anomalies, and delivering actionable recommendations that support data-informed decision-making.
  • Conduct research on relevant topics and areas by investigating current trends, industry best practices, and competitive landscape to provide insights and support the strategic direction of ongoing projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and input, while also capturing detailed minutes that accurately reflect discussions, decisions, and action items, ensuring effective communication and follow-up within the team.
  • Contribute to other ad hoc projects, such as GC&R team projects or process improvement projects.

You are a part of

The Group Consolidation and Reporting (GC&R) team, part of ARIC (Accounting, Reporting and Internal Control). The team is responsible for the consolidation and financial reporting of Royal Philips. Based at the Philips Center in Amsterdam, the team consists of around 24 people and is international in scope, warmly welcoming newcomers.

You are a good fit if

  • You are currently studying towards a Bachelors or Masters in Finance/Accounting, with an interest in IFRS and financial reporting.
  • You have good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel and PowerPoint, as well as SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office.
  • You are a team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • You are organized, with a structured approach to work and attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For office-based teams, this means working in person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

We offer you

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level and whether you need to relocate to the Netherlands. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation if you need to relocate near the office: a monthly allowance of €300 net in the vicinity of Amsterdam, or €255 net for other Philips locations, subject to eligibility requirements. To be eligible, your usual home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time for a one-way trip, and a rental contract from your landlord is required.
  • Travel compensation if you are not eligible for a free public transport card, with a maximum monthly allowance of €192 net.
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
  • The opportunity to buy Philips products at the Philips shop.
