Pon.Bike seeks a Director IT Operations & Infrastructure for a stable, scalable foundation. Lead the ‘One Infrastructure’ program for secure, efficient IT services and global continuity.

Job description

Pon.Bike is the world’s leading bicycle company, home to a portfolio of iconic brands including Cannondale, Gazelle, Cervélo, Santa Cruz, and Kalkhoff. To support our ambition of becoming the world’s most data-driven bicycle company, we are fundamentally reshaping our Digital & Technology function.

We are moving away from a landscape of fragmented, local projects and siloed IT operations towards a high-performance global technology function. This transformation is not just about technology; it is about building the "One Pon.Bike" backbone that enables our brands to scale globally while engaging customers locally.

The Role: Architecting the Global Backbone of Pon.Bike

As the Director of IT Operations & Infrastructure, you will be the driving force behind the stability, resilience, and performance of our global IT environment. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will move us from a fragmented hosting landscape to a modern, consolidated cloud infrastructure. You are not just managing "plumbing"; you are building the secure, scalable foundation that allows our iconic brands to innovate and win in the market.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end service delivery across infrastructure, workplace, networks, and core IT services.
  • Define and execute a global strategy covering on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Drive cost transparency and reduction through vendor rationalization, sourcing leverage, and automation.
  • Design and implement a federated IT model that balances central efficiency with local brand needs.
  • Support major initiatives like ERP modernization and digital platforms by ensuring scalable and resilient foundations.

Who You Are

You are a pragmatic, service-oriented leader who balances technical control with the agility needed for a major digital transformation. You lead with empathy but stay firm on global strategy, possessing the "change leadership" skills to influence stakeholders across a decentralized environment. You thrive in high-pressure situations, bringing a calm and decisive leadership style to crisis management.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience, ideally gained within a global manufacturing, retail, or FMCG environment with a turnover exceeding €1bn.
  • Experience leading major IT operations and infrastructure programs, ideally with significant experience at a global scale in complex companies, including post-merger integrations.
  • Deep technical knowledge of cloud environments, networking, and modern security frameworks.
  • Experience implementing and running ITSM processes and managing large operational and virtual teams alongside external vendors.

What we offer

At Pon.Bike, we offer an environment where professional growth and a passion for our products go hand-in-hand.

Impact from Day One: You are not just maintaining a system; you are building the framework for a global digital transformation.

Global Environment: Work in a highly international setting with colleagues and brands spanning across Europe, North America, and Asia.

Professional Development: Access to the Pon Academy and specialized leadership programs to further your career within the broader Pon Holdings group.

The Best Tools: A competitive salary, secondary benefits, and a flexible, modern hybrid working environment.

Mobiliteit brengt je verder. Daar zijn we bij Pon van overtuigd. In 1895 begonnen we als kleinschalig familiebedrijf. Ondertussen zijn we wereldleider in mobiliteitsoplossingen. Met ruim 16.000 ondernemende collega’s zetten we elke dag opnieuw miljoenen mensen en goederen in beweging.
