Operations Manager - Contract Logistics

For our warehouse in Veghel, of approximately 25 employees, we are looking for an Operations Manager - Contract Logistics who enjoys being close to the shop floor and plays a key role in strengthening operational performance and continuous improvement.

As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. Whether you’re leading a team, engineering processes, or driving projects, your work ensures that our customers’ products are stored, handled, and delivered with precision. How you create impact

In this role, you are accountable for leading the daily warehouse operation, developing your team, and continuously improving processes to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-performing operation.

• Manage and continuously optimize daily warehouse operations with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, cost, and throughput.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 25 warehouse employees.
• Drive and embed a Lean and continuous improvement culture, including daily performance stand-ups and structured problem-solving.
• Identify, initiate, and implement improvement actions to enhance operational performance.
• Monitor operational KPIs and translate results into clear actions and performance insights.
• Ensure logistics activities are executed in line with customer agreements and operational standards.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and the local management team to ensure a stable and high-performing operation.

What we would like you to bring

• Bachelor’s (HBO) level or equivalent experience.
• A proven first successful experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean principles, such as performance stand-ups, standard work, and basic problem-solving methods.
• Strong interest in people management and operational excellence.
• Hands-on, proactive, and eager to further develop leadership skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to work with performance data and KPIs.
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
