At Karl Lagerfeld, the Retail Buying department is looking for an intern to support day-to-day tasks within the team.

KARL LAGERFELD is a dynamic, fast-growing company built on professionalism and strong values, with headquarters in Paris and Amsterdam and an international team from over 35 countries.

Purpose of the role

Provide support in day-to-day tasks within the Retail Buying department.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the team in all aspects of planning, buying, and in-season management
  • Analysis and communication of sales data
  • Manage system data and item set-up information
  • Keep buying files up to date
  • Preparation of product information
  • Sample handling
  • Support allocation with product distribution
  • Support the team in compiling presentations
  • Ad hoc administration tasks

Skills, education & experience

  • Fashion, retail, or business-related studies
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Numerical skills
  • Familiar with MS Office, especially XLS and PPT

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Interest and passion for the fashion industry
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a positive "can-do" attitude are a must
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
