At G-STAR, this internship in Quality Assurance & Production Operations offers the opportunity to help provide the best product to end consumers with the right quality and high durability. If you are enthusiastic and like to think out of the box to explore possibilities to improve G-STAR's quality standards, this role offers hands-on experience across quality and production management.

As Intern Quality & Production Operations, you’ll help create and administer the quality and production management system, distribute and evaluate samples, and work with relevant departments whenever improvements are needed. You will act as a Quality & Production bridge between departments for challenges faced from material development through to final goods on the marketplace.

Here's what we'll do together:

You will be supporting the R&D, Fabric/Trim Development, Quality Assurance and Production Operations teams. These different teams and tasks are closely connected within the product department.

Fabric/Trim Development

  • Support with setting up new fabric, trim and wash development together with designers.
  • Keep close contact with, and liaise between, fabric mills, trim suppliers and garment vendors throughout the whole development process.
  • Receive material samples and support in reviewing whether they are ready to approve for the upcoming collection.
  • Be responsible for keeping the trim catalogue and material archives up to date.

Quality Assurance and Production

  • Support with fabric and garment risk assessments to help prevent potential failures in production.
  • Assess fabric performance by handing out, evaluating and performing wear tests.
  • Support with pre-production approval stages, approvals and samples.
  • Support suppliers during pre-production and production.
  • Maintain the denim wash archive to control consistency throughout the production process and denim collection.
  • Support and investigate online and offline returns and work on corrective action plans.
  • Support with quality issues and investigations.
  • Support and monitor sustainability tasks.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as reporting and report uploads.

What you bring to the table:

  • Fashion? You live and breathe it.
  • You are an enthusiastic, out of the box thinker.
  • You have basic knowledge of MS Office.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
  • You are well organized, versatile and have a can-do attitude.
  • You are self-confident, proactive, and have strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • You are available full-time for a period of 6 months starting in August/September 2026.
  • It is preferred that you are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile and Research. However, other academic backgrounds are also welcome if you are enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • You are enrolled at a university or college in the Netherlands during the whole length of the internship.
  • If you are a non-EU student in the Netherlands, you are in possession of a mandatory internship assignment.
  • You are already living in the Netherlands and are in possession of a BSN.
  • Finally, if you have a strong personality and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, we’d love to meet you!
