Senior AI Engineer

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will join a newly forming AI Hub with the mission to design, build, and scale AI services, tools, and platforms that directly improve the way the business operates and the way clients experience its services.

This is not a standard enterprise engineering role where everything is already defined and waiting to be executed. The team is building a small, high-impact AI engineering function in an environment that is still evolving. That means they are looking for someone who can bring structure without slowing things down, move fast without compromising quality, and turn AI opportunities into practical, secure, and production-ready solutions.

This is what you’ll do

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will focus on building AI services, orchestration layers, integrations, and AI application components that can move from prototype to production-grade use. Your work will help ensure that AI becomes a scalable, reliable, and governed capability across the organization.

You will:

• Design, build, and scale AI services and applications that solve real business problems.
• Develop AI tools and platforms that support both internal teams and client-facing capabilities.
• Build orchestration layers, APIs, connectors, and integration components between AI systems and corporate applications.
• Package and deploy RAG-based applications and other AI services as reusable and production-ready components.
• Work closely with architecture, security, IT operations, and business stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Support the full AI lifecycle from proof-of-concept to controlled production handover.
• Help define technical standards, reusable patterns, and engineering practices for AI development.
• Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and reliability mechanisms for AI services.
• Identify opportunities where AI can create measurable business value and proactively turn ideas into practical solutions.
• Actively use AI in your own engineering work to improve speed, automation, testing, documentation, and problem-solving.

You’ll bring us these skills

We are looking for someone with strong technical depth, but mindset is just as important as experience. You should be proactive, pragmatic, and comfortable building in an environment where not everything is fully defined yet.

You bring:

• 6 to 10 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, data engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Strong Python skills and experience building production-ready applications or services.
• Experience designing APIs, integration layers, connectors, and scalable application components.
• Good understanding of RAG concepts, AI orchestration, prompt workflows, and frameworks such as LangChain or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, Helm, and modern engineering practices.
• Understanding of secure, governed, and compliant software delivery in an enterprise or regulated environment.
• Familiarity with MLOps or DevOps principles such as model versioning, monitoring, rollback, and production handover.
• Ability to work with architects, security, IT operations, and business stakeholders.
• Experience with on-prem or hybrid enterprise environments would be considered an advantage.
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI Service, or similar governed AI environments would be beneficial.
• Background in financial services, fintech, banking, or another regulated industry would be a plus.
