At Nedap in Retail, you ensure that everything related to product compliance is in order so products can be sold worldwide — safely, reliably, and in line with applicable laws and regulations.
"You make sure innovation can scale globally — safely, compliantly, and without compromise."
You are responsible for compliance of devices where hardware and software come together. You stay up to date with developments in your field — from EMC and product safety to new cybersecurity regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act — and translate these into concrete impact on our products and design decisions.
You initiate and guide certification and testing processes, ensuring that documentation and evidence are complete and well-structured. At the same time, you monitor compliance, identify risks, and advise on improvements.
You work closely with R&D, product management, operations, and external test labs. You also collaborate with Compliance Managers in other Business Units to share knowledge and continuously strengthen the compliance level of Nedap products.
Your responsibilities
Translating regulations
Translate international compliance requirements into concrete specifications for hardware, firmware, and software.
Compliance by design
Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure compliance and security from the very start.
Certification & testing
Initiate and guide international certification processes (CE, UL, EMC, RF, cybersecurity), sometimes on-site (e.g. in Taiwan).
Risk management
Identify trends, risks, and regulatory changes, and provide advice accordingly.
Portfolio management
Ensure compliance for both existing and new products across global markets.
Documentation
Prepare technical files (TCF) and certification documentation.
Stakeholder management
Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Legal, suppliers, and external test labs.
You will work in an inspiring and international environment where you are encouraged to take initiative. You will have a high level of responsibility and ownership, supported by extensive in-house facilities for pre-compliance assessments.

At Nedap, you have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the performance of the international supply chain. You will have a role with significant responsibility, where your decisions influence availability, delivery reliability, and customer satisfaction.
What you get in this role:
You are well-organized and able to maintain oversight of timelines and deadlines. While you are part of the R&D team, you take initiative independently and take full ownership of your responsibilities.
You are the expert in your field, providing colleagues with insights and keeping them up to date on new developments in compliance. You are naturally curious and stay informed about regulatory developments, such as the RED Delegated Act and the upcoming Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
You also recognize yourself in the following:
