AkzoNobel is offering a Digital Media internship in Amsterdam within its global communications team. Reporting to the Digital Media Manager, this role offers the opportunity to experience how reputation management is done across multiple digital channels.
Digital channels have become some of the most powerful tools for shaping AkzoNobel’s reputation. From social media to our website, digital campaigns, and employee advocacy, these platforms are used to share stories and engage with key stakeholders.
Internship Responsibilities
- Support the digital team in planning, creating, and executing content across internal and external channels.
- Engage in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Manage and optimize content within CMS and social media platforms.
- Develop and maintain the content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for new content and campaigns.
- Support the monitoring, tracking, and reporting of performance across internal channels, social media, and websites using tools such as Sprinklr and Google Analytics.
- Stay up to date with digital trends and competitor activities, translating insights into innovative content ideas.
Education & Experience
- Currently enrolled in a university program in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media or a related field.
- Educational background or high level of interest in digital strategy, content strategy, communications, and media relations.
- Experience developing websites is an advantage.
- Experience in content creation and content management, as well as familiarity with tools such as Sprinklr and Meltwater, is considered a merit.
- Experience with Adobe Suite and other visual editing tools.

The internship is based in Amsterdam and lasts for 5 months, starting on September 1st, with the possibility of extension. An earlier start date is considered an advantage but not required.
