About the role

As Director Transformation & Execution at Highberg, you play a key role in shaping how the organisation grows and scales. You translate strategic priorities into concrete initiatives and embed them into daily operations, aligning people, processes, systems, and governance so Highberg operates as one.

AI is a core driver in this role: not as a separate initiative, but fully embedded in how we work, collaborate, and deliver value. Working closely with the CEO and Management Team, you ensure that strategy is not only defined, but also executed and sustained.

If you thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution, and are driven to build, scale, and embed real change at the highest level, we invite you to start the conversation with us.

Why Highberg?

At Highberg, everything revolves around people. Around colleagues who want to make a difference, take ownership, and work together based on trust and craftsmanship. We believe real change happens when strategy, execution, and humanity come together. That starts with our own team. This is why we create an environment where you can continue to grow, apply your expertise, and expand it further. An environment where you can make lasting impact.

Bringing strategy to life

At Highberg, you are not a remote advisor. You work closely with clients on challenges that truly matter, from strategy through to implementation. This allows you to make an immediate impact and see the results of your work in practice.

Collaborative, human, and professional

We work closely together, share knowledge, and strengthen one another to achieve the best possible outcomes. Our culture is open and built on trust, with room for both ambition and humanity. We listen, celebrate successes, and hold each other accountable, always with attention to people as well as to quality.

European outlook, locally rooted

With teams in the Netherlands and the DACH region, you work in an organization with a broad, European perspective. At the same time, the culture remains personal and close-knit. This gives you the opportunity to collaborate internationally at a high level, within a committed and engaged team.

Culture as a catalyst

Our culture is a key reason why colleagues enjoy working at Highberg. We place trust in our people, value initiative, and believe it is important that everyone can continue to develop. This enables you to get the best out of yourself, while together contributing to sustainable growth.

Your role as Director Transformation & Execution

As Director Transformation & Execution, you are responsible for making Highberg future-ready by designing and embedding scalable ways of working across the organisation. You translate strategic priorities into concrete initiatives, projects, and programmes that are adopted in daily operations across the Highberg Units.

You operate through a small central transformation team and a strong cross-organisational network, creating shared ownership while safeguarding focus, pace, and impact.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Translating strategic priorities into clear, executable transformation initiatives with defined ownership and measurable outcomes.
  • Driving key transformation themes, including AI-enabled ways of working, integrated sales processes (e.g. HubSpot), knowledge management, and group-wide data and system integration.
  • Ensuring cross-functional alignment across IT, Finance, HR, Marketing, and the Highberg Units of Business, balancing local autonomy with group-wide governance and consistency.
  • Owning the end-to-end delivery of transformation programmes and providing transparency on progress, risks, dependencies, and decision points to the Management Team.
  • Leading a small central transformation team and activating a network of transformation leads across the organization.

Who are you?

  • You are a driver of execution who turns intent into outcomes.
  • You influence effectively without formal authority and build commitment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • You work naturally through networks and shared ownership.
  • You take a hands-on, pragmatic approach and step into the detail when needed.
  • You bring structure and clarity to complex challenges and move comfortably through organizational complexity.
  • You are AI literate and able to apply AI in a conscious, critical, and responsible way to enhance your work.

What are we asking?

  • You have a proven track record in owning and delivering large-scale transformation programmes within consultancy or professional services environments.
  • You have demonstrated experience in driving AI adoption and embedding it into core business processes.
  • You have experience working in federated or multi-unit organizations and navigating the balance between local autonomy and organizational alignment.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Dutch and English.

What do we offer?

  • A competitive base salary, complemented by a variable component linked to organizational performance.
  • A key leadership role within a fast-growing, international transformation consultancy.
  • High autonomy and trust to set priorities, make trade-offs, and shape impact.
  • A professional yet human working environment with offices in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Zoetermeer, and Hamburg, hybrid working options, and a strong sense of community.
