Job description

The Warehouse Coordinator primary responsibilities include:

Operational coordination:

  • Ensure and assign sufficient resources are planned on each activity;
  • Responsible for streamlining the different activities within the specific area during the day, to balance service and efficiency to an optimal level;
  • Coordinate if employees/team(s) are appropriately trained and compliance with legal, company and EHS regulations;
  • Ensure team(s) are working according to the WI’s and procedures;
  • Support in staff development & coaching: create an environment in which the staff can excel and drive the upgrading of the talent base within the team;
  • Proactively respond, with a sense of urgency, analyze and resolve customer comments.

Warehouse administration:

  • Check if internal documentation, like check forms, are compliant, signed and completed on time;
  • Ensure times clocked by the employees are registered accurately and are approved;
  • Check if all employees that are requested, are planned and showed up;
  • Be the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for any operational escalations for that specific area.

Supervisor support:

  • Support in providing objective employee feedback;
  • Perform feedback conversations and create conversation reports;
  • Back-up/assist tasks (in case of absence) of the supervisor (run the daily operation);
  • Support and recommend in overall operational decision-making regarding employees, equipment, workload balancing and areas that will improve service levels or improve operational efficiency;
  • Identify training needs of both the organization and employees.

Support GEMBA (shop floor) management:

  • Proactively and continuously ensure and promote a clean, safe and positive work environment, in accordance with Stryker's internal standards, values, rules and set an example in all circumstances;
  • Ensure operational data is available for the specific area that will enable daily reviews and daily start-up of the operation;
  • Support and participate in operations related projects and participate in small projects that positively improves operational outcome (on service, quality and cost);
  • Be a driving force in process optimization and continuous improvement.

Strengthening the base:

  • Support the supervisor in developing and maintaining warehouse SOP's in line with ISO13485;
  • Enable an operation which is capable to quickly adapt to (major) changes requested by our external and internal customers and / or changes in product mix;
  • Implement processes to meet/exceed goals and objectives related to customer satisfaction, efficiency and budget;
  • Maintain and improve quality output, on-time and in-full delivery performance and productivity;
  • Closely work together with other departments / divisions;
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment in which all team members can work safely;
  • Make sure 6S audits are completed on time and ensure that they are properly done and actions are followed up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of education in logistics or a technical field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience and 1 year experience of coordinating logistical processes.
