Join as an Automation Tester for Azurion Eye—an integrated, AI-enabled clinical software platform—where you will build and scale test automation that safeguards quality, safety, and reliability for microservice-based, cloud-native and AI-connected solutions used in minimally invasive procedures. You will drive end-to-end test automation and test architecture aligned with CI/CD and test-first principles, ensuring traceability and regulatory readiness across releases.
Your role:
- Execute end-to-end software testing (automated and manual) within Agile/Scrum teams, ensuring high-quality increments that meet customer, clinical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Define and implement test strategy and coverage across functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, load, reliability/resilience, safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory expectations.
- Establish and evolve the end-to-end test architecture aligned with system-level and software architecture, ensuring it supports CI/CD, test-first principles, and scalable automation across teams.
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks, patterns, and tooling for microservice-based and cloud-native applications (REST-based services, integration flows, and platform components).
- Review functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and designs for testability and quality early in development; actively contribute to 3-Amigos refinement to sharpen acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
- Execute and maintain a broad test suite (integration, regression, system, performance, load, reliability, resilience), validating behavior across realistic usage scenarios and clinical workflows.
- Maintain full traceability from requirements to tests, defects, and releases through structured test plans, protocols, reports, and evidence suitable for regulated design control documentation.
- Support design changes by assessing impact on product quality and risk, and by updating automation, datasets (where applicable), and validation evidence to sustain product integrity.
- Coach developers and testers on advanced automation techniques and best practices; contribute to design reviews and quality audits to drive continuous improvement of test craftsmanship.
You're the right fit if:
- A bachelor/master’s in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience in software automation testing (e.g., 5+ years) and experience operating at test-architecture level (e.g., 2+ years as test architect / test strategy owner).
- Strong capability in building end-to-end automation for microservice and cloud-based applications, using modern frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber / SpecFlow), including writing Gherkin feature files (Given-When-Then) and implementing step definitions for automated execution.
- Proficiency with Python and modern delivery pipelines (CI/CD), including version control and engineering workflows (e.g., Git and Azure DevOps).
- Experience building non-functional automation (performance, reliability, resilience) and translating risk areas into prioritised, automated test coverage.
- Comfort working in an agile, entrepreneurial, start-up-like environment with strong ownership and a drive to iterate quickly while maintaining regulated quality.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams by setting a clear quality vision and coaching engineers to embed risk-driven, test-first thinking across the lifecycle.
- Nice to have: experience with object-oriented languages such as C++ and/or familiarity with AI-adjacent validation concepts (datasets/metrics) relevant to AI-enabled products.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
