As a Solution Architect in area Daily Banking Services, you play a crucial role in enhancing the digital experience and shaping the digital heart of Rabobank. Our features are used millions of times per day by all customer segments in both the consumer and business banking domains. From transaction timelines to account insights and from bookkeeping to customer engagement and beyond banking propositions, your architectural decisions directly impact the everyday financial life of our customers.

You will operate as a Solution Architect, responsible for two squads. You translate business ambitions into standardized, scalable, secure, compliant, and future-proof solutions — fully aligned with the Area Target Architecture. In addition, you provide your squads with architectural guidance during the delivery stages.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Define the application architecture and drive the architectural blueprint of your applications
• Guide and monitor solution development aligned to architecture, security, and compliance
• Act as an expert consultant and lead and inspire your squads to enable craftsmanship and autonomy within your architectural boundaries

Area Daily Banking Services is part of Tribe Digital Platform within the Retail NL business unit of Rabobank.

You & your talent

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Solution Architect
• Experience working with near-shore and/or off-shore delivery teams
• Experience with most of the tech stack: Java, Spring Boot, Cloud Foundry, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Angular, TypeScript, Azure CI/CD, SignalFX, Dynatrace, Splunk
• Familiarity and experience in applying design patterns in your solution and applying the right Enterprise Integration Patterns
• You manage architecture modelling methods (C4, UML, ArchiMate)
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Excellent communication: you can tell the architecture story to any audience
• A real sparring partner for Business, Tech Lead, and Architecture
• Courageous and opinionated — not afraid to defend your architectural vision
• Proactive: you always know what’s happening in your squads, domain, and area of expertise
• You embrace the impact of AI and use it to improve design, engineering, quality, and decision-making
• You champion standardization as a key lever to improve speed, reliability, and coherence across our domain
