Internship opportunity in sustainability
Starting in September 2026, you can become part of Hunkemöller’s Best Internship in Retail (BIIR) Program, alongside 50+ fellow interns.

What will you do?
- Providing support in analyzing supply chain information on social and environmental compliance topics.
- Providing support in developing ESG requirements, manuals and policies.
- Input and analyze ESG data and generate reports.
- Involved in handling day-to-day administrative items such as filtering emails, assembling, and distributing documents and materials.
- Assisting in developing internal training and communication on sustainability.
- Assisting in other ongoing sustainability projects.
About you!
- You’re currently enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or HBO+/WO studies in a relevant sustainability field (e.g. environmental science, human rights, etc.).
- You have an interest in sustainability topics, such as EU sustainability legislation, sustainable business practices, and supply chains. This may come from your studies, a previous internship in CSR, or a general curiosity about the field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English. Dutch or Chinese are an advantage.
- You are able to work at least 40h/week on internship responsibilities.

- Internship Allowance: 450€ per month (gross) with 8+ holiday days (based on 40h/week).
- Travel Allowance: Max. 23€ per day (based on your travel distance), if you are not eligible for the free Student OV Chipcard.
- Additional Benefits: Access to 25% staff discount and a company laptop. Also, company gatherings like Townhalls and drinks.
Eligibility Criteria
For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in September 2026. Please note that your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship. Additionally, to comply with Dutch law, one of the following must apply:
- You are an EU citizen.
- You are on a Family/Partner visa.
- You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, OR (2) your university is willing to sign a third-party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
