Bachelor internship: AVG/ GDPR investigation

Voor de afdeling After Sales ‘Dealer Workshop Services (DWS)’ zijn we op zoek naar een afstudeerstagiair voor een onderzoek naar de juridische mogelijkheden om persoonsgegevens van gebruikers van de DAF Dealer service webapplicatie ‘Repair and Maintenance Information’ (DAF RMI) op te slaan.

Je onderzoekt de AVG-wetgeving die geldt in Nederland en Europa (GDPR), evenals de relatie met vergelijkbare Noord-Amerikaanse wetgeving zoals de California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Functiebeschrijving

For the After Sales department ‘Dealer Workshop Services (DWS)’ we are looking for a graduate intern.

• Report to the Manager Service & Troubleshooting Information
• Work together with several different departments within After Sales, Information Technology and the Legal department
• Work on an advice for After Sales to what extent and according to which EU rules personal data may be stored and used, and for what purpose, in accordance with the AVG legislation
• Investigate the reason for DWS to store personal data of the users of the RMI system (Repair and Maintenance Information)
• Define the definitions for these reasons
• Compare the definitions with the rules of the AVG guidelines and EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• Define a proposal to store personal data of RMI users
• Discuss with and present the proposal to the related After Sales departments
• Present the proposal to the DAF legal department

Jouw profiel

We are looking for an eager HBO student International Business, Relation or Law, who is interested in gaining experience in the international business of DAF Trucks N.V. with a strong relation to the mother company PACCAR Inc.

Afdeling

The department After Sales is part of the Marketing and Sales organization and has the main task to support DAF Dealerships in service their customers in the most efficient way.

• Dealer Workshop Services: Parts, service and diagnosis instructions, tools and supporting systems. Service Training.
• Warranty and Product improvement
• International Trucks Service: Call center for truck drivers when they run into problems with their truck.
• Systems and Innovation: Supporting maintenance and development of all Service related dealer systems

Departments working close to After Sales is IT, Product Development and Connected Services.
