What you’ll do
- Lead daily lab operations and ensure the delivery of fast, accurate analytical results
- Coach, develop, and empower lab technicians while building a strong, collaborative team culture
- Solve challenges with analysts and department leads, shaping continuous improvement across the lab
- Optimize outsourcing decisions to balance quality, turnaround time, and cost
- Uphold regulatory standards (GLP, ISO) through consistent SOP implementation
- Monitor KPIs, manage escalations, and translate feedback into improvement initiatives
- Innovate: from refining workflows and technologies to developing and validating new analytical methods
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet workload fluctuations.
What you’ll bring
- BSc or MSc in life sciences, analytical/biological chemistry, or related field
- 5+ years in operational laboratory work, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as Chromatography and ICP
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Systematic, accurate, and highly collaborative working style
- Comfortable using digital tools and learning new systems
- Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented
