Tech Lead Growth Accelerator

Every day, the Growth Accelerator 0-30 team works on innovative digital customer experiences in the Rabo App. Customer behaviour and performance data are translated into sharp insights and informed choices, then converted into scalable solutions with a direct impact on customer experience and commercial results.

In multidisciplinary teams, you will work with proposition managers, journey experts, UX/UI designers, data analysts, developers, architects, business analysts and product owners. Together, the team delivers impact from start to finish: from formulating the right customer question to experimenting, building, launching and continuously improving.

There is a strong focus on pace and action. As a separate department with clear focus and decision-making space, insights are converted directly into choices, actions and results. Together, the team is building the future of the bank with strong propositions, smart products and digital experiences that make a difference for young people.

You & your role

As Tech Lead, you're responsible for 3-4 of the DevOps teams. The ambition is high: with new features and a better customer experience focused on young customers, the goal is to attract new customers and continue to engage them.

You work at the intersection of business, tech, and design, ensuring that the customer experience meets and exceeds customer expectations.

Your mission is to play a pivotal role in building a growth mindset engineering culture. Faster time to market, experimentation and learning are crucial to drive innovation, while also operating on the existing platform and meeting applicable standards for security and continuity. You know how to balance strategic direction and innovation with day-to-day operational excellence.

You understand how to maximize the value of a shared digital platform and how standardization accelerates the entire organization. Your decisions directly impact customer experience, app ratings and engagement in the Rabo App and Growth Accelerator-specific features.

• Building the engineering culture for the Growth Accelerator by stimulating innovation and simplification
• Managing multidisciplinary teams
• Delivering digital customer experiences and features for a specific target group
• Ensuring uptime, performance, and stability in a high-availability environment

You & your talent

• Bachelor, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in complex IT environments, including 3+ years in a Tech Lead or team-leadership role (formal or strong social leadership with growth ambition)
• Solid technical mindset: able to engage deeply with engineers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects to influence technical decisions, and lead initiatives
• People-management and coaching skills, working comfortably with multicultural, distributed teams
• Delivery-management experience or interest in developing end-to-end delivery ownership, coordination across teams, and risk/stakeholder management
• Understanding of compliance, security, and reliability or motivation to learn and take responsibility for application health
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with vendor management or openness to learning how to manage external partners
• Agile mindset or willingness to grow into collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement
