At JTI, the IT Business Solutions Manager role supports markets in Western Europe with a data-driven decision-making strategy, primarily focused on Strategic Insights and Commercial Planning. As IT Business Solutions Manager for Data & Analytics, this role involves the design, implementation, and evolution of data-related solutions. The focus is on maximizing the value of data through a combination of business acumen, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving expertise.

Responsibilities:

Capability Management identification and enhancement:

  • Work as part of D&IT Markets & Regions to develop and implement a data strategy and define data solutions for informed decision-making in Western Europe.
  • Collaborate with markets in the region to collect and identify demand and design solutions to address it.
  • Collaborate with other IT stakeholders at market and global level to enable data opportunities for business functions.
  • Closely collaborate with Global BTS and D&A teams supporting the rollout and evolution of corporate solutions.
  • Conduct fit-gap analyses in data sources, models, and platforms to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and deliver market data solutions.
  • Liaise with IT security, Enterprise Architecture, and Data & Analytics teams to design sustainable, scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
  • Ensure ownership of the analytical tools delivered to stakeholders, always providing the highest level of data integrity and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure the flawless execution of data projects.
  • Maximize the value of existing data sources and identify new data opportunities that could add business value, including internal and external data sources.
  • Ensure cross-entity knowledge sharing to optimize IT investments and maximize efficiency.

Rollout of Central systems and Market Mile:

  • Under direction of the RPD, embrace and learn the steps and effort required to roll out a system to more than one market in the region.
  • Work with other regions that are rolling out systems ahead of your region to gain knowledge and help deliver the solution faster in your region.
  • Support other regional teams by engaging them and helping them understand what you and the team learned for a successful deployment.

Geographically Distributed teamwork, & Operations:

  • This role will be part of geographically distributed teams responsible for a function within the region such as M&S, Finance, or Data.
  • Manage the application portfolio, or part of it, for that function including operational excellence such as incident management, maintenance, enhancement and change requests, and problem management, while also managing demand and being accountable for project execution.
  • Broaden technical and delivery skills using available tools, including but not limited to Freedom within a Framework, data management, ERP, and sales solutions.
  • Ensure that third-party solution providers and external resources fulfill agreed commitments and contractual obligations within budgeted costs.
  • May be seconded to the RPD to assist or run projects on behalf of the region.
  • May lead projects to localize and roll out centralized systems, including detailed planning and execution, data migration, external resources, and go-live.
  • During a crisis in one of the applications in the function portfolio, maintain close communication with the Market or Cluster D&IT Lead to ensure the right business impact and prioritization is given to the incident.
  • Act as an expert in the technology stack of the function, including sales apps, power apps, data, and digital, while upskilling in that area of expertise and delivering solutions to business demands through self-development or consultants.

D&IT Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to JTI D&IT and corporate governance standards while leading and managing identified changes and projects, and on occasion related teams, to ensure successful execution.
  • Work in accordance with JTI’s Project Management Framework and established D&IT standards, policies, procedures, J-Sox controls, and industry best practices.
  • Actively review technology successes in JTI and the external environment, bringing innovation opportunities to the attention of business partners within the virtual team’s remit.
  • Manage budgets for applications and services in the region, including responsibility for planning AP/SP and LE processes and delivering financial commitments with clarity on how budget is used to run existing services, fund transformation and change, and improve efficiency.
  • Optimize, control, and reduce costs where possible to improve regional budget efficiency and profitability.

Who we are looking for:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant certifications
  • 5+ years of exposure to IT architecture and solutions for data flows among systems and applications
  • 3+ years of business professional expertise, with relevant FMCG industry experience, in data analysis and insights generation
  • Experience in delivering solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform with a special emphasis on data solutions and services
  • Strong experience in project management, with a track record of successful execution
  • Experience with budget management and contract management

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Delivery on Azure stack including Databricks, Data Factory, and Data Lake
  • Very good understanding of Azure PaaS management and resource monitoring
  • CI/CD experience and DevOps
  • Working knowledge of SQL and experience in Python/PySpark
  • Microsoft Power Platform
  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources to solve business challenges
  • Knowledge in testing and validating analytical solutions
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
