As a financial institution, we need to be in control of our data, especially sensitive data. AI is evolving faster, and the responsibility to secure data comes along with it. As a Senior Information Protection (Purview) Engineer, you will be responsible for protecting this data against loss and misuse. Using our technology, you engineer policies to protect the bank’s information. Your insights in data protection will be a valuable feedback loop to the business to better secure our data.

Your job

You will be a Senior Information Protection (Purview) Engineer in the Information Protection team, which is part of the CISO (Corporate Information Security Office) Cyber Defence department.

This role requires extensive knowledge of data within a Microsoft environment and what it takes to be in control of this data. Mastering Purview and its capabilities and delivering impactful value to the bank are central to the role.

You are up to speed on laws and regulations such as GDPR, DORA, the EU AI Act, and internal policies.

In addition, you stay well informed of the latest developments in the field of Information Protection and share this knowledge with your colleagues. We support you to keep learning every day.

Your profile

You really must have the following knowledge and/or experience:

• Proven experience in designing, implementation, and governing data leakage prevention controls.
• Hands-on experience implementing policies with the following Microsoft Purview modules:

Microsoft Purview modules

• Data Loss Prevention (SIT, EDM, OCR, Trainable Classifiers)
• Communication Compliance
• Insider Risk Management
• Information Protection (Sensitivity labels, RMS)
• Certified SC-400 / SC-401
• Senior advisory with influencing skills, able to communicate to stakeholders of different levels.

It would be nice if you also have the following experience:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview module Data Security Posture Management (DSPM)
• Experience with implementing Copilot security policies
• Certification such as CISM / CISSP or SC-300
• Experience working in a DevOps/Scrum team

Working environment

You will work for the Cyber Defence department within CISO (Corporate Information Security Office), alongside approximately 150 colleagues. Cyber Defence is responsible for all the security operations of ABN AMRO. Within Cyber Defence there are several teams with specific security knowledge and goals that you will work closely with.
