Your job

As an IT Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Databricks and Power BI, you will be part of an experienced and highly motivated team responsible for sourcing, transforming, validating, and presenting data for regulatory and management reporting.

The team works according to agile principles and focuses on delivering reliable reports and reusable, granular data sets to stakeholders within the Finance and Risk domains, based on the bank’s core and analytical data platforms.

Examples of key deliverables include dashboards and data products for Non-Performing Exposures (NPE), Credit Risk Management Information (MI), analytical data sets, and loan tapes including comprehensive validation and reconciliation reports.

In this senior role, you will:

  • Design and build robust, scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks.
  • Translate complex regulatory and business requirements into high-quality data models and Power BI reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and traceability throughout the reporting chain.
  • Proactively contribute to technical decisions, best practices, and continuous improvements within the team.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow IT Engineers, Business Developers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant delivery of reports.

Your work will directly support regulatory compliance and strategic decision-making, making accuracy, ownership, and reliability essential to success.

Your working environment

As part of the value delivery block, you will work in an international, cross-functional agile team responsible for both change and run activities. The team delivers multiple critical regulatory reports and is composed of IT Engineers, Business Developers, and a Product Owner who collaborate closely to achieve shared objectives.

You will be part of the Reporting Grid within the Finance & Risk domain. This grid brings together IT and business colleagues in an open, inclusive, and supportive environment. It holds end-to-end responsibility for regulatory reporting and works closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including Finance, Risk, and external regulators.

The Reporting Grid is organized into several chapters, each focused on specific knowledge areas and craftsmanship. In this role, you will be affiliated with the Data Engineering and Business Intelligence chapter and report directly to its Chapter Lead.

Your profile

Required

  • Experience working in a DevOps-oriented environment (CI/CD, automated testing, releases)
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal), able to explain technical topics clearly
  • Experience working independently while also contributing well within a team
  • A growth mindset and willingness to keep learning new tools and technologies
  • Comfortable working in a complex, fast-changing, and regulated environment
  • Experience collaborating in international and diverse teams

Hands-on experience with:

  • Python for data engineering or analytics
  • PySpark for large-scale data processing
  • Azure Databricks
  • ETL / ELT pipelines, including data ingestion and transformation
  • Data modeling (e.g. star schemas, dimensional models)
  • Power BI, including semantic models and basic DAX

Preffered:

  • Strong experience optimizing Databricks clusters, performance, and cost
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms, such as data warehouses and lakehouse architectures
  • Advanced Power BI experience, including DAX optimization, performance-tuned and regulatory-grade reporting
  • Experience working with Azure analytics services or Microsoft Fabric

Certifications:

  • Required (or equivalent experience)
  • AZ-900 – Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (or equivalent hands-on Azure experience)

Preferred:

  • DP-203 – Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Databricks certifications (Data Engineer Associate or Professional)
  • PL-300 – Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst
  • DP-600 – Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
