In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and guiding 2-4 squads in their development to self-managing teams. Ownership and entrepreneurship are central to this. Among other things, you will ensure efficient planning, remove obstacles, increase efficiency and effectiveness on the work floor, and initiate and implement changes. With a focus on customer orientation and developments in the market, the needs of the team will change over time. A proactive, entrepreneurial, and flexible attitude is expected from you. Your presence on the work floor will keep you informed about what is happening. You will identify relevant issues and bottlenecks and escalate them when necessary. The common thread in this role includes; communicating, motivating, listening, coordinating, facilitating, signaling, influencing, persuading, observing, improving, aligning, and evaluating. You will report to the Site Lead in Enkhuizen.
YOU RASKS AND RESPONIBILITIES
- Coaching & support of the teams within scope
- Supporting the teams removing roadblocks to meet business targets
- Ensuring compliance (internal policies and external regulations)
- Supporting and promoting the well-being of the operational teams
- Monitoring KPIs & metrics linked to the team's objectives
- Conducting root cause analyses, including developing structural measures/solutions
- Identifying and managing (potential) business risks and ensuring a safe working environment
- Focusing on continuously improving and/or optimizing processes, procedures, and work methods
- Ensuring personal, operational, development (competency matrix)
- Initiating and facilitating sprint cycles (‘operational & continuous improvement’)
- Keeping the teams informed of developments, prioritizing relevant projects and initiatives for the team, and sharing optimization opportunities with stakeholders
- Maintaining a proactive attitude in relation to fellow Operational Coaches as OneTeam
- Actively supporting Bayer's innovation programs by providing support during implementations
- Facilitating an environment in which the team can operate efficiently
- Requesting support or advice from the Unit Lead when necessary
- Initiating structural retrospectives of your own performance with the team
YOUR PROFILE
- A completed Bachelor degree
- Preferable experience in a similar role, preferably in a production environment
- Proven experience in coaching teams through the transition from self-organizing to self-managing
- An objective and integrity-based approach in all interactions with the team
- A people-oriented attitude with an eye for business interests
- Ability to influence, persuade, and inspire
- Curious, with sharp observational skills and social competence
- Empathetic and reliable
- Strong listening skills
- Structured, strong in organizing and prioritizing
- Lean certified and experienced in working in an agile environment
- Familiar with the scrum methodology
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written
- You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, demonstrate ownership, and ensure inclusion and diversity
