In this role, you will support accounting and tax activities for the Netherlands, working across general accounting, asset accounting, management accounting, transactional accounting, and tax processes.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand end-to-end accounting processes of General Accounting, Asset Accounting, Management Accounting, Transactional Accounting and tax processes of Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax and Transfer Pricing.
- Prepare and present financial statements, mandatory statistics and tax declarations of the subcluster countries in accordance with the respective international reporting standards and local legislation and requirements.
- Perform accounting and tax tasks, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts, month-end and year-end closing, preparing journal entries, and tax declarations in accordance with Bayer and/or local standards in collaboration with the country finance team, capability pools and Global Business Services (GBS).
- Perform country-specific activities for tax processes such as tax documentation, local tax posting and reposting, and providing information to tax and treasury North Europe, tax auditors or other relevant stakeholders.
- Co-lead the external audit process and execute internal controls.
- Actively contribute to outcomes defined by the NE Accounting capability pool.
- Execute optimization projects to continuously improve quality and efficiency for local processes by fostering automation and AI solutions and facilitate global initiatives in collaboration with Global Business Services (GBS).
- Implement globally defined group accounting and tax standards, best practices and processes with guidance from senior accountants, finance specialist or finance lead.

WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Profound knowledge of accounting, tax and finance relevant processes and practices; Dutch GAAP expertise preferred and tax accounting experience a plus.
- Strong digital skills and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applications.
- Ability to translate subject matters into operational execution.
- Proficiency in accounting software and BI knowledge / platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Language skills: Dutch language required and fluent English.
