Job description

As a Business Controller NPI within the Finance department of NTS Eindhoven, you are the financial support and anchor for our project teams. You monitor approximately 50 ongoing NPI projects closely: from successful prototype to first series and once in volume to the next product update or generation. This requires someone who can oversee the big financial picture and actively participate in the daily project dynamics.

You report to the Manager Finance and work closely with a wide team of stakeholders: NPI Project Managers, Business Unit Managers, NPL engineers, Operations, Project Buyers, and the PMO. At least once a month, you sit down with the Project Managers for a structured financial discussion. In this, you are not only the guardian of the numbers but also a full-fledged sparring partner expected to make a significant contribution to financial project decisions.

The project environment is dynamic, and the customer is demanding. Projects overlap, priorities shift, and stakeholders need to move quickly. You keep a cool head, know when to dig deeper, and when to push forward. The combination of assertiveness and diplomacy makes you effective in this role.

Your responsibilities also include:

• Providing financial support and oversight to project teams during NPI and industrialisation projects;
• Financial assessment of business cases and EAC forecasts;
• Monitoring progress and ensuring the expected project results are achieved using a BI dashboard;
• Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial project administration in the ERP system Navision;
• Managing risks and working capital related to the project portfolio;
• Monthly structured meetings with Project Managers as a financial advisor and point of contact.

Requirements

We are looking for an analytically strong and communicatively skilled Business Controller with the following background:

• HBO or university degree in Finance, Controlling, (Technical) Business Administration, or a similar field;
• Demonstrable work experience as a (Business or Project) Controller in a complex, multidisciplinary environment, preferably within the high-tech or manufacturing industry;
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Navision or Business Central, and BI tools for financial forecasting;
• Strong personality: assertive, diplomatic, and able to switch at all levels as an advisor and conversation partner;
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken.
