We are looking for a motivated and experienced Staff Technician to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our wet lab. You ensure that operations run smoothly and are responsible for executing and optimizing experimental workflows.

Lab Management & Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lab.
- Ensure the lab is well organized and operates efficiently.
- Support the onboarding of new lab members and students.
Single-Cell Omics & NGS Library Preparation
- Execute NGS library preparation workflows for single-cell multi-omics assays.
- Maintain high PCR standards, including qPCR, RT-PCR, primer design, and troubleshooting.
- Work with split-pool barcoding and combinatorial indexing strategies to profile genomes, transcriptomes, and epigenomes at single-cell resolution.
Cell & Organoid Culture
- Perform routine culture of mammalian cell lines and primary cells.
- Establish and maintain organoid culture models.

Education & Experience
- PhD, MSc, or hbo (applied sciences bachelor's degree) in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- At least 3–4 years of hands-on postgraduate lab experience.
- Ability to work independently; we are looking for someone who does not require close technical supervision and can quickly get up to speed.
Essential Skills
- Strong foundation in molecular biology, especially PCR-based techniques.
- Demonstrated experience with NGS library preparation and single-cell workflows.
- Proven cell culture skills (experience with organoids is a strong plus).
- Organized, structured, and proactive in managing lab infrastructure.
- Experience in optimizing or troubleshooting protocols beyond standard execution.
