The Role: Sales Management Traineeship

This traineeship is unique and not for everyone. Instead of rotating across multiple departments to find the right fit, it accelerates growth within the role by giving responsibility early on.

For those aspiring to move into management without slowly climbing the traditional corporate ladder, this is an opportunity to do so. As a Sales Management Trainee at Meltwater, you will learn everything about the company’s solutions and B2B sales during your first year. When you deliver strong results and gain sufficient experience, you will have the opportunity to take on leadership responsibility and manage a team.

There are two entry paths within the traineeship: Sales Consultant or Account Manager.

From day one, you are fully responsible for your client processes end-to-end, including engaging with C-level stakeholders. This level of ownership early in your career is unique in the industry and is designed to help you learn and grow quickly.

Sales Consultant

As a Sales Consultant, you will become an expert in Media Intelligence.

  • Identify and approach potential clients
  • Lead negotiations and close deals
  • Build strong relationships with prospects
  • Conduct open, consultative conversations to understand client needs and position solutions effectively

Account Manager

As an Account Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of clients using Meltwater’s SaaS platform.

  • Maintain and grow relationships within your client portfolio
  • Identify and approach potential clients within your territory
  • Lead negotiations and close deals, both with new prospects and existing clients
  • Drive renewals and identify opportunities for expansion
  • Ensure clients maximise value from the platform

Who You Are

You are a networker, a go-getter, and a trusted advisor. You are ambitious, resilient, and driven to succeed. You may have aspirations to move into management and/or pursue an international career.

You are characterised by:

  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (any field), preferably a Master’s degree
  • Participation in extracurricular activities
  • Strong social and communication skills
  • A proven winning mindset and competitive drive
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Interest in the tech industry or business environment
  • Fluency in Dutch and English
