About VF

VF Corporation is a global portfolio of iconic lifestyle brands such as The North Face, Timberland, Eastpak and Vans. Across our business, we are driven by a purpose-led and performance-focused culture, with a strong commitment to people, product, and operational excellence. We believe in creating an environment where associates can grow, make an impact, and help move our brands and business forward.

Let’s Talk About the Role…

As Head of Operations, you’ll take full ownership of end-to-end operations at our Almelo DC, driving safety, service, quality, productivity and cost across inbound, storage, fulfilment and outbound. You’ll combine hands-on operational leadership with strategic delivery, partnering with Planning, Commercial and Finance to optimise labour, capacity and execution plans in line with business priorities.

How You Will Make a Difference…

  • Own end-to-end DC performance across inbound, storage, fulfilment and outbound, delivering reliable service, tight operational control and consistent daily execution.
  • Set and role-model a safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards, and acting as the senior escalation point for critical operational issues.
  • Lead performance management through daily management and core KPI cadence; identify gaps early and drive corrective actions to improve service, productivity and cost.
  • Lead continuous improvement and automation with key partners; simplify processes, increase scalability and deliver measurable results.
  • Build and develop a high-performing leadership team through coaching, clear expectations and accountability aligned to VF values.
  • Strengthen engagement and build future capability through talent development, succession planning and inclusive leadership.
  • Own the DC budget, with clear accountability for labour and warehousing costs, driving disciplined, cost-effective operations.
  • Partner with Commercial, Planning and Finance to align demand, labour and capacity plans, translating business priorities into clear operational plans for short-term execution and longer-term site goals.
  • Make timely operational and people decisions, balancing risk, service and cost to improve overall DC effectiveness.

Skills for success

  • Extensive senior leadership experience in logistics, warehousing or distribution.
  • Track record of delivering service, cost, people and performance results in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Ability to lead from the front, inspiring, coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement under pressure.
  • A focus on strategic improvement, able to translate insights into practical operational change.
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills across functions and seniority levels.
  • Collaborative, inclusive leadership style that builds trust, accountability and engagement.

Why This Role Is a Great Opportunity

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who enjoys combining operational excellence with people leadership and business partnership. You will have the opportunity to shape the performance, culture, and future capability of a key distribution center, while contributing to broader transformation and growth priorities across the business.

What’s In It for You

  • A senior leadership opportunity with visible impact on site performance and future capability.
  • The chance to lead people, operations, and transformation in a complex distribution environment.
  • A collaborative international business environment within VF.
  • Opportunities for growth, leadership development, and cross-functional exposure.
  • Pension plan.
  • Health cover.
  • Break out areas offering complimentary hot drinks.
  • Free secure onsite parking and commuting allowances.
