Company: GKN Aerospace Careers

Job Summary

GKN Fokker Aerospace has an urgent requirement to recruit a suitably qualified and able candidate to assist the existing ILS team specialists in conducting MSG-3 analysis in support of the NH90 and other programs.

The successful candidate should be familiar with ILS principles based on MIL-STD-1388-2B for LSA, using the EAGLE LSAR relational database tool, and understand the principles for development and ongoing continuous optimization of aircraft maintenance programs and planning in accordance with the Air Transport Association (ATA) Maintenance Steering Group 3 (MSG-3) process.

Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) is an essential tool for efficient and cost-effective management of complex programs throughout the product life cycle, from inception through to disposal.

The ILS service team provides ongoing support for the NHI industries NH90 Tactical Transport and Naval Frigate (TTH and NFH) helicopter fleets worldwide. In support of these fleets, a quality and up-to-date LSA database is the foundation on which an effective ILS service rests by providing the essential configuration and source data reference that the various ILS disciplines, including Maintenance Analysts, use in support of MSG-3-based initial maintenance development and continuous optimization activities.

The process of inputting data, updating records and developing the NH90 LSA Record (LSAR) is continuous from cradle to grave to ensure the data within always aligns to the helicopter configurations, maintaining a robust LSAR for the continued support of existing versions and variants and to support the development of future design iterations.

GKN Fokker Aerospace uses ILS and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) processes involving MSG-3 for continuous evaluation, analysis and evolution of various maintenance programs to ensure that maintenance remains fit-for-purpose throughout the product in-service life.

  • Performing the Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) for each maintenance task identified, including identification of all required support, such as Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), tooling, spare parts, consumables and other items necessary to perform the various maintenance activities;
  • Working with other ILS disciplines and colleagues, including Technical Publications, IPD, Material Support, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and Design Office Engineering Specialists, to harmonize the flow of data;
  • Participating in international working groups and meetings;
