bloomon is turning the flower industry on its head – for the better. By disrupting the traditional supply chain, skipping the auction and wholesale stages, and harnessing technology, brand and innovation, the company delivers gifts and subscriptions that delight customers across Europe.

🛠️ Procurement Team @ Bloom & Wild Group

You’ll be joining the engine room of Bloom & Wild’s fastest-growing categories. While the business is known for flowers, the Procurement team provides the operational and supply chain foundation for its non-horticultural range, from fresh-baked treats and luxury hamper components to home, lifestyle, and the essential packaging that delivers the "wow" moment.

Our team is divided into two clear pillars: Strategic Procurement and Stock Planning. As the Stock Planning Lead, you will report to the Head of Procurement & Inventory, acting as the architect of our operational procurement function and building the scalable systems we need to grow.

We are a team that "cares wildly" about impact. Working closely with partners across the business, we ensure the infrastructure is in place to support their vision. Our focus is on delivering perfect availability, optimising inventory health, and enabling rapid range expansion through robust operational processes. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a function from the ground up and see your work directly fuel our success as we scale.

⚙️ What you'll be doing

  • Build and scale the function: You’ll be the architect of our non-horticultural stock planning strategy, setting the vision for how we scale and turning rapid business growth into a sophisticated, high-performing operational machine.
  • Master stock availability: Lead your team to ensure optimal stock levels across all sites, balancing high availability with the need to minimise waste and holding costs. Navigating multi-site space constraints, you’ll work closely with Warehouse teams and Strategic Procurement Managers to ensure supply is efficient and reliable.
  • Develop and automate: Build scalable, custom, automated supply chain and inventory tools and develop AI workflows to eliminate manual data entry and calculation tasks. You will lead the development of agile, spreadsheet-based solutions while mapping the transition to long-term, robust systems.
  • Process and KPI leadership: Develop standardised processes and frameworks, leading weekly KPI reviews to shift the function from reactive problem-solving to proactive inventory and risk management. You’ll define what success looks like for the department.
  • Team transformation and development: Provide oversight, coaching and mentorship to a team of stock planners, transitioning them from manual execution to analytical decision-making. You will build internal succession and resilience, ensuring the team is equipped to handle increasing complexity.
  • Strategic growth and inventory control: De-risk the launch of new ranges by ensuring operational infrastructure is mature enough to handle increased SKU counts. You'll collaborate with the commercial team to ensure right-size inventory levels to protect availability, de-risk peak periods and release trapped cash, while developing third-party relationships to manage excess stock.
  • Operational execution: Support planning and execution when needed to ensure continuity, especially when issues occur or during peak times.
  • 3PW performance management: Measure and manage performance of the 3PW partner against agreed SLA terms.
  • Supplier performance: Build internal operational performance reporting and supplier tiering, and put in place initiatives to improve operational supplier performance.

✅ You’ll love this role if you…

  • Have 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or supply planning, with experience leading a team.
  • Have a proven track record in supply chain scalability and experience managing exponential growth of SKUs using technology and automation.
  • Are tech-savvy and systems-oriented, with strong capabilities in building automated tools using G-suite and other platforms, and experience leveraging AI to increase impact.
  • Are a strong leader and mentor who excels at coaching team members, fostering a performance culture centred around accountability and ownership of results, and managing stakeholders effectively.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset and are adept at identifying system limitations and establishing continuous feedback loops to resolve and automate them further.
  • Are proactive and hands-on, willing to be a direct contributor to enable scale, rolling up your sleeves to understand operational tasks to a high standard and covering gaps during peak periods or illness.
  • Are commercially and data-driven, motivated by protecting margins, eliminating P&L leakage driven by manual errors, and right-sizing inventory levels to optimise working capital and cash flow.

These are some of the skills and experience we think will enable success in this role, but please don’t worry if you are missing some of these.

🧭 Our ways of working

We do things a little bit differently. We’re big on collaboration, empathy, knowledge sharing and growth, and our values drive our priorities every day:

  • Lead change for good: we have the guts to try new things and step up to do what matters most.
  • Think deeply, act swiftly: we make sure there’s thoughtful rationale behind our approach and always act swiftly to implement ideas.
  • Care wildly: we pour care and creativity into everything we do and pay attention to the things that make a difference.
  • Stay open, be curious: we’re open about what we’re doing and why, and we welcome challenges from each other.

We really believe in the power of face-to-face connections - be that through a shared project, a learning and development opportunity, or an after work social - and trust our teams to make the right decisions about where and how they work each day.
